The Neighbor List Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Neighbors List website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

The Neighbor List is an online platform that connects homeowners with local service providers. We do not provide home services directly but facilitate connections between users and independent service providers.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: Users must provide truthful and accurate information when registering or submitting service requests.

  • Compliance: Users agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

4. Service Provider Responsibilities

  • Licensing and Insurance: Service providers must possess all necessary licenses and insurance required by local, state, and federal laws.

  • Quality of Service: Service providers are solely responsible for the quality and completion of the services they offer.

  • Compliance: Service providers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Service Provider Agreements

If you are a Service Provider, your use of The Neighbor List platform is also governed by our separate Service Provider Agreement, which includes terms related to referrals, payment responsibilities, and platform usage. Violation of those terms, including failure to pay referral fees, may result in suspension or removal from the network.

6. Platform's Role

The Neighbor List acts solely as a referral platform. We do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the services provided by service providers. Any disputes or issues arising from services rendered are between the user and the service provider.

7. Payment Terms

Payment arrangements are made directly between users and service providers. The Neighbor List does not process payments between parties. However, we do collect a referral fee from service providers after a job is completed, and payment has been received.

8. Content and Reviews

  • User-Generated Content: Users may submit reviews and feedback. By doing so, you grant The Neighbor List a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content.

  • Prohibited Content: Users may not post content that is defamatory, obscene, or violate any laws.

9. Disclaimers

  • No Warranty: The Neighbor List provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind.

  • Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for any damage(s) arising from the use of our platform or services provided by service providers.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Neighbor List, its affiliates, and employees from any claims or damages arising out of their use of the platform or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our platform for any user who violates these Terms and Conditions.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
